COLUMBUS, Ohio – The West Liberty University women's tennis team couldn't hold off a late Ohio Dominican rally as the Panthers pulled out a 5-4 win on their home courts.
Coach
Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers had an early edge after taking two of the three doubles matches only to see Ohio Dominican bounce back with wins in four of the six singles matches for the narrow victory.
Lauren Howard and
Raissa Wischi notched an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles for West Liberty and swept the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches, respectively, but the Hilltoppers' only other point came at No. 2 doubles where
Emily Dawson and
Alex Barr teamed up for an 8-4 win.
