    MARIETTA, Ohio – The West Liberty University men's and women's track teams raised the bar on a few school records during Saturday's Marietta Open 2 indoor meet at Marietta College's Dyson Baudo Recreation Center.
    Two school records were set by the Hilltopper women. Amanda Mortis placed 6th in the high jump with a school-record effort of 1.46 meters while the distance medley relay squad of Megan Blevins, Tessa Gretchen, Tricia Marker and Alyssa Meadows took third place in a school-record time of 14:09.38.
    Megan Blevins won the 1,000-meter run with teammate Erica Smith finishing second. Chelsea East was 7th in the 800-meter run while Meadows was 7th at 3,000 meters.
    The West Liberty men's distance medley relay team of Justin Byers, Matthew Kelly, Dylan Schafer and Taven Rohrbaugh set a school record in winning the event with a time of 11:53.48.
    Brendan Kacor and Travis Beihl finished 4th and 6th, respectively, in the 200-meter dash while Nick Piergallini (3rd), Beihl (5th) and Sean McKean (6th) all placed in the 400-meter final. In the field events, Aaron Schneid was 7th in the shot put and 8th in the weight throw.
